About the event

The Milton Keynes Winter Half Marathon is a scenic 13.1-mile race held annually in December, with the 2025 event scheduled for Sunday, 7th December, starting at 9:00am. Organised by BCS Events, the race begins and ends at Willen Lake Showground, taking runners on a single-lap, traffic-free, anti-clockwise route that showcases the city’s picturesque landscapes, including the Grand Union Canal and linear parks.

The course is predominantly flat, making it ideal for runners aiming for personal bests, and features aid stations approximately every three miles offering water, energy drinks, and sweets. Participants receive chip timing, a bespoke medal, and have the option to purchase a long-sleeved finisher’s T-shirt.

The event is UKA licensed and officially measured, qualifying as an in-person half marathon result for the London Marathon's Good for Age entry, provided specific criteria are met .
