Beetroot Beer & Blues Festival,

About the event

This is a volunteer run beer festival at our very friendly local pub which has just won the CAMRA Suffolk pub of the year. There will be over 20 fine local beers and ciders available. We celebrate the humble beetroot with various food options and a quirky beetroot competition. It is a family friendly event with camping available on request, and great blues inspired music all weekend.

Each year we raise money for our chosen charity which this year is Lighthouse, a Suffolk based charity that supports women, young people and children who are experiencing domestic abuse.

Why should you sponsor?

Be a part of this unique festival and support a local based charity. We are in our 5th year, and welcome in excess of 500 people over the course of the weekend. We can promote your business with flyers, banners or by advertising you in the beer programme which is handed out to all the customers. Your business will also be acknowledged when the PA announces the band you have sponsored.

I am one of a core group of 5 volunteers who have organised and run this event for the past 5 years. We have also organised and run a number of other events over the years, all for charity. Last year we raised over £15000 for pancreatic cancer research after one of us lost her husband to this disease. The 2 previous years, we raised over £13000 for Suffolk Mind. We had a great relationship with Julie Long of Suffolk Mind who would be  happy to verify what we do, and our acheivements are also evident to see on the Tattingstone Wheatsheaf web page.
